Modern encrypted communications rely on complex algorithms (like AES) to scramble data, but they depend on a separate, secret key to lock and unlock it. The vulnerability lies in how that key is shared:

The initial key exchange, often secured with classical algorithms like RSA, could be intercepted or recorded.

QKD Guarantee

QKD creates a key using individual quantum particles (like photons). According to the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and the no-cloning theorem, any attempt to measure these quantum states will irreversibly disturb them.
